Biography

Stephanie Angelyn Casola

Owner and Founder, Prologue

Stephanie Angelyn Casola founded Prologue in 2016 to provide writing, social media and professional PR services to businesses and individuals who are as passionate about what they do as she is about this work.

She brings a dynamic perspective to every project, having more than two decades of professional experience working with and within media. Stephanie started her career as a full-time reporter in metro Detroit covering everything from hard news and education to regular film, art and music reviews, as well as columns on health and beauty trends.

The social media landscape altered her course after working for 11 years as a full-time published writer and copyeditor. An early adopter in the tech realm, Stephanie delved into the start-up world to manage online content, before mastering roles in PR and event marketing. Working for small to medium-sized agencies in and around Detroit, she was responsible for concepts and media relations that have earned a steady stream of press and notoriety for consumer-facing businesses, especially those with a distinct focus on the food, beverage, art and hospitality fields.

Ask her what it’s like to sell out a craft beer event in short order, raise national attention for a locally beloved restaurant, or welcome in the Wall Street Journal to feature your client’s Mid Century Modern home. There are stories here to spare. Stephanie has long believed that everyone has a story – one worth seeking out and sharing with the right audience.

Originally dubbed the "Queen Bee of hustle, media relations and coolness” by her fellow TEDxDetroit producers, Stephanie grew up a fan of scary movies, good coffee and indie rock. When she's not working, she's probably ducking into a new art exhibit, movie or concert. Or you might find her lounging in a hammock planning her next travel adventure.

Stephanie lives in Oak Park, Mich. with her significant other, Christopher, and their two rambunctious cats, Bob Wiley and Harper Lee. They have too many streaming services. Reach out to her at Stephanie@prologuedetroit.com.
